Skiing is a very good sport, but it is dangerous. Although the injury rate is only three in one thousand, much lower than football, basketball and badminton, we must not let our guard down because injuries can be severe, and even fatal. The most at-risk body part in skiing is the head, so wearing a helmet is advised. Other places, such as knees, shoulders, clavicle, knuckles and arms are also relatively vulnerable. Snowboard injuries occur mostly in the knee joints, so before you master the techniques of turning, don’t do anything beyond your abilities.
