At 10:00 am on December 8, 2014, the sound of cheerful music came from the Multi-purpose Hall of the State Sports General Administration. It was the graduation ceremony of the “Third Term of the Retired Athletes Physical Rehabilitation Professional Training Class.” People who attended the ceremony included the deputy director of the Science and Education Division Li Weibo, deputy director of the Human Resource Development Center of the State Sports General Administration Kuang Yuehua, the teacher representative of the training class Ding Xueqin, internship representative from Xiannongtan Sports Technology School Li Binglong, secretary general of the Chinese Athletes Educational Foundation Zhao Weiwen, director of the Physical Rehabilitation Project Dr. Bob Chen, and all the graduates of the Whampoa third term class.
Along with the song “Full bloom of life,” the stories of the training class were before us: hard working and diligent studying, the joy of learning, serious but lovely teachers. The physical rehabilitation knowledge was mastered from hard to easy. The students performed the sign language dance “Grateful Heart” to express their gratitude toward the leadership of the State Sports General Administration, the Chinese Educational Foundation, and their mentor Dr. Chen and his rehabilitation team. The students’ heartwarming performance moved everyone.
Dr. Chen, Mr. Zhao Weiwen, the internship representative, and numerous other people expressed their gratitude toward the State Sports General Administration, and thanked them for the expectations they placed on the Whampoa third term class. At the end, deputy director of the Science and Education Division Li Weibo made the closing statement and shared his earnest hopes and expectations to the graduates for their future.
The graduates will bid farewell to their Alma mater, pack their things, and start their new journey. I am sure they will go out with gratitude and realize their dreams, to make their alma mater proud.
