The predecessor of the Shandong Sports Science Research Center was the Shandong Institute of Sports Science, founded in July 1978. The Shandong Institute of Sports Science has focused on the goal of building an advanced and strong sports province, and has worked diligently to implement the government’s policy of science and technology, making significant progress. It has also made some useful attempts at combining scientific research and training, as well as on reform of the management system, and has laid the foundation for the development of building a two-strategy sports science research center. In December 2012, Dr. Chen’s STaR Studio established a partnership with the Shandong Sports Science Research Center, and it is dedicated to the development of sports science, promoting our whole nation’s sports awareness.
